Sherali Gowani, MD, FACC


Dr.Sherali Gowani is an Interventional Cardiologist with specialized training in Renal and Pheripheral stenting. He is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. He is also an elected Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

His main interest is in interventional cardiology, with the principal belief that most blockages can be successfully opened using the technique of angioplasty and stenting, thereby preventing bypass surgery. During fellowship and since 1991 when he started his private practice he has performed hundreds of procedures involving not only one artery, but also two and three vessels.

Dr. Gowani’s belief is that prevention is the key to better cardiovascular health. His goal is to better patient care by educating the patient on healthy lifestyle to better disease management by awareness that it is that it is never to late to start, and these lifestyle changes are in patient’s control. Sneaking healthy habits into your daily life is easier than you might think. He encourages patient that doing something, no matter how small, is much better than doing nothing at all. If one can make small changes along the way, over time they will add up to improved changes in the quality of your overall health with physical activity, diet, ability to deal with stress, which will improve overall quality of life and keep disease processes at bay.
